 We created our first forum on March 2009, allowing all people involved with sea safety to share their experience and knowledge. The forum proved very successful and confirmed an undeniable need to share more on this important matter. The result of the meeting was the creation of a task force with the objective of standardizing the processing of data relating to casualties at sea.
In the same spirit, “les Sauveteurs en Mer” are now preparing the 2010 forum with a focus on :
“Together, let’s cultivate a responsible and shared practice of seafaring.”
The improvement of equipment and boats, along with the efficiency of sea-rescue organizations, tends to provide new seafarers with the belief that they can take to the sea without any preparation. We would like to invite you to discuss this matter and help build proposals leading to an appropriate use of new technologies. The implementation of an efficient approach to “Prevention” will help us to protect our free and shared spaces on the water.
